Crackerjacks - Competition

Competition is at the heart of the Crackerjacks, and lets just say the competition is sometimes fierce. Every shoot consists of at least one competition. Competitions with strict and sometimes strange rules which puts contestants to the test of there abilities. Lets just say some of the best innovations we have seen have risen from these events.

One event that stands out is the now famous limited and unlimited 1.4g (Class C, consumer) competition. This engagement consists pure Class C material some groups hand fire and some create a full fledged computer choreographed production. These displays are extremely hard to distinguish from those done with 1.3g (Class B, display) material.

Other events have included a comet competition, a one fuse event and even pumpkin busting. Entrants in the one fuse competition are limited to a single point of ignition and all their product must fit onto a single 4' x 8' sheet of plywood. In pumkin busting, it's all about doing it with style.

All competitions are geared for the professional down to the complete novice.
